Easter Week ('Holy Week’) is the festival par excellence in Cuenca. Considered of International Tourist Interest, it’s great beauty leaves a lasting impression. The celebrations date back to the 17th century, when the Augustines and Trinitarians formed the first two Cuencan processions when they founded the first brotherhoods.
Filmed on 21st of March 2008. Enjoy!!!!
“The devil can cite Scripture for his purpose." William Shakespeare, The Merchant of Venice. There are many out there who use simply one scripture to teach on baptism. Two noted examples: the Trinitarians use Matthew 28:19 out of context for their baptismal formula. "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." The Church of the Latter Day Saints, or Mormons, use 1 Corinthians 15:29 to baptize for the dead, or what is called baptism by proxy. "Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?"
However, we find that in the mouth of two or three witnesses, shall every word of God be established. This was necessary under the law in the Old Testament. "At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death." (Deuteronomy 17:6) And in the New Testament, Paul repeated this same principle. "This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established." (2 Corinthians 13:1)
Every single Apostle used Jesus name baptism as their sole name in their formula. Examples are the following scriptures: Mark 16:15-17; Luke 24:45-47; John 20:23; Acts 2:38; Acts 8:12-16; Acts 10:48; Acts 18:8; Acts 19:5; Acts 22:16; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Romans 6:3-5; Galatians 3:27. So nobody ever used a misapplied title baptism of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. That's because they knew the name of the Father was Jesus (John 5:43). The Son was named Jesus (Matthew 1:21). And the Holy Spirit was sent in Jesus' name (John 14:26). Espanol. "El diablo puede citar las Escrituras para su propósito." - William Shakespeare, El mercader de Venecia Hay muchos por ahí que utilizan simplemente una escritura para enseñar sobre el bautismo. Dos ejemplos señaló: los trinitarios usan Mateo 28:19 fuera de contexto
This video tells you what happened to the church of God after the passing of the Apostles. AD 100 to 200 CATHOLIC CHURCH AD 100. Father, Son, Holy Ghost first used -- a Catholic invention. (Heick, p. 87; Beasley-Murray, pp ). POST-APOSTOLIC FATHERS arose AD INCHOATE CATHOLIC PRIESTHOOD AROSE I Timothy 4:1-2 fulfilled. Pre-Catholic bishops arose: Clement of Rome -- AD ; Ignatius ; Shepherd Hermas ; Catholic Polycarp ; Catholic bishop Justin Martyr These Greek apostate Fathers issued spurious LET- TERS. Early Catholics issued credentials, and rushed to preach where the Apostles had preached. Falsely they claimed, "APOSTOLIC SUCCESSION." Clement said: "Almsgiving is better than prayer!" (Heick, p. 50). TRINITARIANISM invented, (L. Paine, pp. 86, 276). It was derived from Plato's celestial arithmetic. (L. Hogben, p. 226; L. Paine, p. 276). Tertullian twisted Plato's TIMAEUS into his : "TRINITAS." Here started the Trinity! Early CATHOLICISM FOUNDED AD (Langer, p. 141; Heick, p. 46; Paine, pp ). Catholic bishops amplified Rome. This system had its church in Rome ca. 140 (Heick, p. 95). AD 140. Only a few Catholics at this date. (Knox, p. 58).
Most Oneness Pentecostals believe that water baptism is essential to salvation, and not merely symbolic in nature, and because they believe that one must have faith and repent before being baptized, baptisms of infants or by compulsion are deemed unacceptable. Oneness believers believe that for water baptism to be valid, one must be baptized in the name of Jesus, rather than the mainstream baptismal formula in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. This follows the examples found in the Book of Acts. "Jesus-Name" is a description used to refer to Oneness Pentecostals and their baptismal beliefs. Oneness Pentecostalism rejects all concepts of a subordination, duality, trinity, pantheon, co-equality, co-eternity, or other versions of the Godhead that assert plural gods, plural beings, divine "persons", individuals, or multiple centers of consciousness within that Godhead. It equally denies all concepts of Jesus as anything other than fully God and fully man, together with all teachings that assert that he was merely a "good man," or only a sinless man, high priest or prophet, rather than God himself. Oneness doctrine declares that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, but that this happened only when he was born from Mary on Earth. It rejects the view that any person can "obtain" the status of God whether by works or by grace, maintaining that Jesus Christ did not "obtain" his status, but rather that he is the one, eternal God himself manifested in the flesh according to the Oneness Pentecostal interpretation of 1 Timothy 3:16, as is rendered in the King James Version. Oneness Pentecostalism subscribes to the doctrine of Sola Scriptura. They view the Bible as the inspired Word of God, and as absolutely inerrant in its contents (though not necessarily in every translation). They specifically reject the conclusions of church councils such as the Council of Nicea and the Nicene Creed. They believe that mainstream Trinitarian Christians ha
Most Christians believe in Oneness according to the latest survey and not a triad in unity, which contradict the very scriptures. A debate between David Bernard on the scriptural position of the one true God versus the trinitarian theory of three persons in a Godhead. The word trinity is not used anywhere in the Bible. The generally accepted teaching of traditional Christianity is that God is a trinity God in three persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit (which is often called a “Ghost”). How did this “trinity” doctrine enter traditional Christianity? It most emphatically did not come from the Bible. Revelation 12:9 says that all nations have been deceived by Satan the devil. How, then, did the wily Satan introduce this doctrine into “Christianity”? Firstly, the early church came monotheism. Deut. 6:4, Exodus 30:5, and practically all of Isaiah speaks about the one true God. Nowhere inside the word is there a mention of God the son or God the Holy Spirit. The son of God was begotten at a certain time, just as God knew His elect before the world was created. The first person to coin the idea of a triad in unity was Tertullian, a greek lawyer in 200 AD. He admitted that the oneness of God Christians outnumbered him vastly at that time. As it would take many years and councils of men to finally change the minds of the general Christian popular. Another fact is the Justin Martyr in 165 changed the original baptismal formula of the Apostles from the Lord Jesus Christ to an extended version. His Exact words are as follows: "I baptize you in the name of the God the father and the Lord of all, and of our savior, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost". As he didn't Jesus was God the father, manifested in the flesh. Even as the Apostles Taught, that is the reason behind the change. Now Origen (Philosopher) and Tertullian (Lawyer) became believers via the teachings of Justin Martyr's, change the baptismal formula to just one verse of text as in Matthew 28:19, used by many false churchs
"I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance." Luke 15:7 God will go out of His way to convert just one soul. His angels rejoice over it. Every time we see someone baptized in the name of Jesus, for the forgiveness of their sins, we rejoice with them. There are many parables that show how God greatly cares for the saving of our souls and daily life. He values us, our needs and even our wants. What a mighty God we serve that loves us enough to take our place at Calvary. He love us when we were yet sinners, how much more when we become his sons and daughters. About Bishop David Bernard. He is a son of missionaries, has seen great miracles at home and abroad. He loves the Lord, and has written many books on the oneness of God, Baptism in the Name of Jesus and other topics. He has debate many on the truth of God's word to include trinitarians, Muslims and Unitarians. He started and founded the New Life Church in Austin, Texas. I recommend that you uplift him and his ministry with your fervent prayers and supplications on his behalf for a big blessing. "The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace."
