Time Is Up is a montage of airplanes, art, and archives. It is also a tribute to my brother, who was visiting and traveling by airplane, around a time when international security was crazy, even a year after 911. Along with severe security, our home state of Minnesota's determined-to-be Senator, Paul Wellstone, dies with his wife and daughter in a tragic plane crash/accident, arising incredibly enormous anxiety, stress, and fear for those who were flying at the time, as well as the loved ones of those who were flying.

A short film about a man and a stalker that follows him and appears in weird places. A high-quality version of this is located here: need DivX player to view) Any helpful comments would be greatly appreciated! Also, we know that the last 3rd of the video is WAY too dark. We decided not to re-shoot it because we figured that we would rather make a totally new video instead. (this isn't really our best stuff)

My first tutorial ever! The Whip Cut is a clever way of joining shots together without the audience realizing there's been a cut. This means that you can shoot one actor in one place and another actor in a completely different place and join the two shots together. Difficulty: 1 out of 5 Editing Requirements: Crossfade Text Tutorial: --Start at one place and rapidly move the camera 180 degrees either to the left or right. --Go to the second place and rapidly move the camera 180 degrees in the same direction, ending up on the desired spot. --Cut the two clips in the middle of the "whip cut" and apply a crossfade between them. This tutorial shows you how to "pass through a wall".. A really neat editing trick. Difficulty: 3 out of 5 (It's easy to do, but Tough to make it look good.) Editing Requirements: Crossfade, (keyframing in some cases) Text Tutorial: --Start at one location and move the camera up to the wall as smooth as possible. --Film various objects that may look like the inside of a wall (brick, pavement, etc.) --Film in the second location (anywhere) and move the camera at the same speed as when you first went into the wall. --Take your brick, pavement, etc clips and keyframe it so that it looks like you are moving toward it. --Take all your clips and apply crossfades between all of them, letting your brick/pavement clip play for only about 1 second each. If you have any questions on how to use Sony Vegas visit montagical for great Vegas Tutorials! for watching!

The wall cut is a very cool transition where it looks as if the scene appears on the other side of the wall. I'll show you how! Difficulty: 2 out of 5 Editing Requirements: Linear Wipe Transiton Thanks for watching! Text Tutorial (in case you weren't paying attention...) --Dolly the camera sideways across the room up to a door frame or wall (any edge to use as a transition point) --Keep moving until the wall is 100% out of the shot. --Go to another place and dolly the camera the same direction and speed as before. --Combine the two clips by having the second clip enter parallel to the wall with a linear wipe transition. If you have any questions on how to use Sony Vegas visit montagical for great Vegas Tutorials! comments if you have any questions and I'll be happy to help!

This tutorial is how to make it seem as though you are leaping over a big gap. It is more of a filmmaking technique and is a staple in many popular action movies today. Difficulty: 2 out of 5 Editing Requirements: None

Simalar to the "dissolving person" effect, this shows you how to make it seem as though they have entered or exited the matrix. I show you how to do it in Vegas, but I'm sure you can do it with other editing programs. Difficulty: 1 out of 5 Editing Requirements:Dissolve transition Thanks for watching!

A random comedy we made. We didn't really have any direction when planning it, so it's not filmed very great, but I think it turned out pretty funny. Bryan - The "Main Character" I guess you could say... Justin P. - The guy in the "Training Video" Justin F. - The guy who plays Bryan in Ping Pong. Thanks for watching!

Audio is 60% of your film. Even if you don't have the best camera, your videos can still be amazing if you have good audio. I'll show you how to get good audio, along with some techniques on recording audio during filmmaking. I used the Zoom H2 Audio Recorder for this entire video (except the part where it showcases the quality of the camera's mic) I may make a tutorial on how to make a cheap boom pole later. Also, in addition to this video I strongly suggest that you watch this to emphasize how important audio is. for watching! A comedy we made in a few hours. The smoothie actually didn't taste that bad, since all it consisted of was soda and sugar with a potato. (And so you know, the toilet DID clog when we flushed the potato.)

A short, silent film about rejection and persistence. Song is: Trouble Sleeping by the Perishers. The song inspired the film. It was kind of a spur of the moment film. My favorite shots are at: 0:30, 0:40, and 1:34 Written, Directed, Performed, and Camera Operated by Justin Poliachik.
