A quintessential depression cinema escape, Law of the Rio Grande is an hour of nothing but honest good fun in the Wild West. Bob Custer and Edmund Cobb were stars of silent cinema and adapt well here in this early talking Western. Custer plays a former outlaw who’s trying to live an honest life. He gets set on the right path by the gorgeous Betty Mack who wants to save him. But Custer’s skeletons don’t want to stay in the closet when an old gang member threatens to ruin his newly earned good name. Law of the Rio Grande features snappy dialogue and a fast story. It was a wonderful way to be free of the woes of the great depression and is a pleasant good time today as well.

Squids: Wild West review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Squids: Wild West from The Game Bakers for the iPhone. This is actually a sequel to a 2011 game called Squids, which had the same action RPG gameplay. You control an ever growing team of squids on a quest to find another squid or something. The levels have enemies scattered all over the place, and generally, you have to take them out. You do that by touching the squid, pulling back like a slingshot, aiming your shot and releasing. The squid goes flying and causes damage to anything that gets in its way. It's kind of like Angry Birds meets a strategy game meets curling. This video review features video gameplay footage of Squids: Wild West for the iPhone and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.

Carnival Games: Wild West 3D review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Carnival Games: Wild West 3D from 2K Play for the Nintendo 3DS. Carnival Games: Wild West 3D is an exceptionally dull minigame compilation that proves the genre has pretty much done everything it can within these familiar constructs. Carnival Games: Wild West 3D is like its cry for help. There are things about this game that are almost inarguably bad, but looking at the game overall, the real issue is that it doesn't have a single original concept of its own. The idea is to play games and earn tickets and win prizes, which is accomplished in minigames. Excuse us for not doing backflips about this. This video review features video gameplay footage of Carnival Games: Wild West 3D for the Nintendo 3DS and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
