*******CoastGuardNews**** Cleveland - Coast Guard Station Cleveland Harbor assisted in the release of a Red Hawk this morning, approximately two months after the hawk was rescued by Coast Guard personnel. The hawk was discovered injured in the water near the dock at Station Cleveland Harbor on November 28, 2007. Coast Guardsmen on duty saw it splashing in the water and contacted a local wildlife center. The hawk was recovered by wildlife experts and transferred to Metroparks Wildlife Center in Kirtland, Ohio, where it stayed for two months being treated for hypothermia, dehydration and an infected wound.
