The Edge Of Darkness (New York - US, Psych Rock) - little known bands In 1966. a group of students at the State University of New York in Oswego (NY) formed a team called Edge Of Darkness - originally composed of: - Charles "Chip" Alexander - guitar, vocals - Vic DiDominick - organ, vocals (Victor M. DiDominick from Oswego) - Paul Ferguson - drums, vocals (coming from Binfield - Berkshire, UK, secondary education he graduated from Laurentian High School - Ottawa, Canada and then the history department at New York State University at Oswego) - Sam Domicolo - organ, vocals (Salvatore Domicolo z Oswego, coming from the Italian family immigrants, after graduating from high school, he joined the army - during the war in Vietnam he served in the Navy - USS "Truckee", member of many local teams, incl. : The Valiants - early 1960s, Kings Three - circa 1963, The Newberry Four, The Dude Potatoes, The Watermelons, The Critics) - John Bianchi - lead vocals (he had a short stay in the band, around 1967 he joined the army). After very intense performances in 1967 the band was recommended to Jamie Records in Philadelphia. As a quartet (Alexander, DiDominick, Ferguson, Domicolo) in mid-1968. they signed two-year contract with Jamie Records. A month later, they recorded some of their own compositions at Jamie Studio in Philadelphia. Two of these recordings: - "So Many Years" - side A (Sam Domicolo) - "Mean Town" - side B (Sam Domicolo) was released as a single around September 1968. (Jamie Records, 1363). When most of the team members graduated, some of them left - they chose a different life path (Alexander - medical education, Ferguson - sport - hockey). The Edge Of Darkness story closed in 1969.
