The V-103 7th Annual Car and Bike show on Saturday July 10th was absolutely amazing. For a fifteen dollar fee people were able to be exposed to the hottest new items on the market, live music, food, and plenty of cars, cars, and more bikes! If the mall was the plans for Saturday the Car and Bike show gave you that and more. There were venders selling purses, jewelry, sunglasses, etc. The House of Dell Accessory Boutique included lots of beautiful blinged out jewelry for the everyday woman. From rings to earrings they had it all. CEO Custom Cakes and Novelties caught many people's attention with their Patron Margarita cake samples that taste delicious. Their company is able to make cakes in any form that you would like. Displayed at this event was a yellow sports car cake that looked delicious and drivable. If shopping makes you hungry, no biggy. Chicken wings, nachos, Chic-fil-a, Pizza Hut, and plenty of sweets were easily to your access. Not only did this event come with food and shopping, there were many things for the kids. XBOX 360 advertised there newest game BCFX (Black College Football eXperience). There was a booth set up where kids were able to get the entire black college football experience from the band to the actual football game. The station provided controllers and drum sets. Also, Jim Ellis Buick GMC brought Transformer's Ultimate Prime GMC 4500 Duramax Diesel Truck! The actual one from the movie! People were able to get in, honk the horn, and take plenty of pictures. There were more adults amazed by the size of the truck then kids. This truck had to be the biggest non 18 wheeler truck ever! When talking to Mankalo Brantley, a sales representative, he explained to me that Jim Ellis would've provided Bubble Bee, another character from the movie, but it was bought by rapper TI three days before the showcase! The showing of the cars and bikes were for the entire families' amusement.
Each year the contestants compete against the specific model of their car or bike. This year was v-103's first Chevy showcase competition which was hosted by Block entertainment's own Russell "Block" Spencer. He was looking for the Chevy that he thought could top his. People came to impress! There were Chevys with 32' rims, Chevys with hydraulics, Chevys that were barely off the floor, you name it and it was there for you to witness. Celebrities such as Rick Ross, Monica, T-Pain, and many more also showcased their personal custom cars for the fans amusement. Along with the cars of course there were bikes and lots of them. A must see Harley of this event was definitely the Medusa. When talking to owner and driver Hyde, he explained how each medusa master piece was done separately. His bike consisted of custom handlebars, a scull head motor, cream and blue rims and the coolest Medusa paintings ever. V-103's own Greg Street brought his beautiful chopper out for the fans to see. His bike was hand crafted by Joe Martin of the Martin Brothers. Joe Martin hand builds custom bikes and has won Discovery Chanel's World Build Off twice! Greg Street's Chopper was recently on display at the Museum of Choppers in Miami for the past three months. It took Joe Martin five months to build this master piece and his work was well spent.
To add a wonderful topping to this summer event, V-103 provided a concert that blew the top off the Georgia World Congress Center. Each act was spread out through out the day to give people the opportunity to watch the show and also venture out to the other activities. Atlanta's own OMG Girls started the performance segment off on the right foot. After that the list goes on for days. Monica, Soulja Boy, Roco, Roscoe Dash, Lil John, BOB, Travis Porter, Tiger from Young Money, Big Boi, Gucci Maine, Fat Joe, DJ Kahled, Rick Ross, and the one and only Diddy Dirty Money all hit the stage! That's not even everybody! Every one's "Pretty Boy Swag" was turned up to the maximum when Soulja Boy brought out Gucci. They didn't even have to rap the fans did the job for them. Gucci's enterance caused a stampede to the stage it was crazy. The fans of Atlanta have to be the crunkest group of people in the U.S. The fans showed Fat Joe lots of love he had the whole audience leaning back. The DJ Kahled segment until the end of the show was a screaming epidemic that hit the entire GWCC. DJ Kahled introduced Rick Ross, Diddy and the rest of the Dirty Money group with cheers from beginning to end. Even though Diddy's voice was partially there he did not disappoint one bit. His dance moves and high energy was even better in person. The ending performance of "All I Do Is Win" was a great ending to a long list of hit records that were performed!
Good food, good people and a great atmosphere provided the perfect setting for this event. V-103 has a hard job and big shoes to fill to only make their 8th Annual even better and if it's going to be any thing like this years a ticket must be bought!
