Model no: 40 The main scope of project is to send message from any tampered energy meter to be received by the control room by RF communication. The receiving signals are then fed to a microcontroller, programmed to recognize those tampered meters to provide a display at the control room with buzzer sound each time it is tampered.
The project consist of the IR transmitter which is used to transmit the IR signals here we are using the photodiode IR receiver. In project shows that if any tampering is going on with energy meters it gives the signal to microcontroller through photodiode. Microcontroller gives the output that signal is given to the encoder and this transmitted through the RF module. At the receiver side it consists of decoder and the decoded signal is given to the microcontroller and that used to display the message.
The power supply consists of a step down transformer 230/12V, which steps down the voltage to 12V AC. This is converted to DC using a Bridge rectifier. The ripples are removed using a capacitive filter and it is then regulated to +5V using a voltage regulator 7805 which is required for the operation of the microcontroller and other components.
